Eugenio Galindo - Board-Certified Oncologist
Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico Dr. Eugenio Galindo studied at the Universidad de Monterrey, where he earned his doctor of medicine degree in 1984 and ultimately completed his studies at MD Anderson in 1994. Dr. Eugenio Galindo has been treating patients for almost 30 years in the McAllen area. The last 23 years he has called McAllen Oncology his home.
Dr. Galindo maintains his Board Certification in Internal Medicine through the ABIM. He is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Hidalgo-Starr Counties Medical Societies.
Aside from his participation in numerous professional organizations, Dr. Galindo has served as Medical Chair in accreditation programs that have brought the valley the latest in cancer care. One of these acdreditations known as COC (Commission on Cancer) is recognized nation wide.
He has served on numerous breast cancer accreditation programs and tumor boards that have paved the way for the latest in multidisciplinary cancer care in the valley. Ultimately allowing patients to receive the latest in care without having to leave their families and the comforts of home; which we have learned can lead to much better outcomes.
